Community Support Officer - Simon Hall

Hello to everyone. I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your new community support officer. I will be working alongside PC Stuart Toms covering the Fladbury, Pinvin and Harvington wards and will be based out of Evesham police station. When you see me out and about in your village please stop me if you wish to have a chat.

If there is anything you would like to discuss, I can also be contacted via the e-mail link or through the non emergency number routed through the switchboard to Evesham police station.

Once again please feel free to come and have a chat to me when you see me around. Have a great Christmas and I will be seeing you in the near future.

Happy new year to everybody.

I just wanted to start the new year off with a new message. Purse theft can be both a distressing and inconvenient experience at any time of the year. Please remember that a thief will be relying on you to make mistakes and make it easier for them to take something from a handbag or pocket.

Remember the important rules to follow:

Always put wallets in side trouser pockets, this will be more difficult to snatch from than a rear pocket .

Always keep handbags secure and be aware of people following too closely.

Always keep limited amounts of valuables on you.

Smartwater is an excellent way of marking your property so that any recovered items can be returned to you. This can cover personal items, items at home, items at work and even vehicles.

For more information on Smartwater please contact me and I can distribute a leaflet. Alternatively Smartwater leaflets and a leaflet with more information on purse thefts and tips on how to keep them safe will be available on the local policing team’s mobile police station/surgery events

Also please be aware for those of you who still have the 0845 phone number for us for the non emergency calls that as of Tuesday 12th January this number has ceased to exist. If you wish to contact us please ring 0300 3333 000 please only ring 999 in a genuine emergency.
